Jazz-A-Thon 2026

This fall, DCDD is launching a brand-new fundraiser, and we want YOU to be part of it!

On November 14, 2026, we’ll come together for our first-ever Jazz-a-Thon! Members and alumni from every DCDD ensemble are invited to play charts from our jazz library in a fun, low-stakes performance, all while raising money to support DC’s Different Drummers.

What’s a Jazz-a-Thon?

This fundraiser is similar to a dance-a-thon or walk-a-thon! As a participant, you would…
Ask friends, family, etc. to support you through donations and pledges
Get access to jazz songs to practice leading up to the event
Play at the Jazz-a-Thon performance on November 14th, 2026
Log your hours practiced and performed
Helping to raise money for the equipment, music, rehearsal space, storage, travel, and other expenses that keep DCDD going

Your supporters can make a flat donation or pledge hourly based on the amount of time you spend practicing and performing. Everyone who donates will be invited to attend the Jazz-a-Thon performance! DONATE HERE

• Every Jazz-a-Thon participant will receive an exclusive, limited-edition Jazz-a-Thon 2026 T-Shirt to commemorate our inaugural event
• The participant who raises the most money will win a fabulous prize!
• Feel good about yourself for helping out the community, and have fun doing it!
